Tour 106
A
bear viewing tour departing directly from Anchorage! The animals
are reached by seaplane from Anchorage and your departure is from
Lake Hood, situated within minutes from most downtown hotels. The
tour includes a scenic flight across Cook Inlet to the foothills
of the Aleutian Mountains. The plane lands on a lake near the rustic,
wooden lodge and on arrival you are greeted by your guide. In this
perfect Alaskan setting, Redoubt Bay Lodge sits against a backdrop
of rugged mountains. Only a short flight from Anchorage, yet here
city life seems a world away. With your guide you travel by boat
to the best locations for spotting bears. Lunch is provided at the
lodge, and with time to relax your hosts may tell you about life
on the last frontier, where wild animals still roam freely, sometimes
just yards from their front door.
