Day
Tour I Overnight Tour I Two
Nights at Brooks Lodge
Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park is world renown for
incredible bear viewing opportunities. We have developed several
packages from one day to multiple days, with the opportunity for
several trips to view bears, as well as an optional guided bus
tour to the Valley of 10,000 Smokes. Reliable bear
viewing at Brooks Falls takes place from late-June through July and
again from late-August
until mid-September. These are the times when the salmon are
spawning in the Brooks River, and bear activity is at its peak. Bear viewing
is also possible in early to mid-August, but bears appear in lesser
numbers.

Tour 117
The tour
departs daily aboard a scheduled flight from Anchorage airport. On
arrival in King
Salmon a local representative will transfer you directly to the
seaplane for flight to Brooks Camp. After a short safety briefing
on bears by a park ranger, you are free to enjoy the nature
preserve. Viewing platforms are connected by walking trails and
are strategically placed for commanding views of animal activity.
Rangers are based at platforms and on trails to provide
information, safety and to rotate viewing groups during busy
periods. Return to Anchorage in the early evening.
