Set among 1.2 million acres of splendid wilderness deep in the Alaska Range, Denali Wilderness Lodge --often called "the world's most remote hotel"--is an Alaskan-bush retreat ideal for adventure travelers, wildlife enthusiasts, or just about anyone in search of the last best place on earth. Denali Wilderness Lodge, located in the majestic heart of Alaska, is 30 roadless miles from Denali National Park. Accessible only by bush plane, this utterly remote lodge has all the allure of Denali without the crowds. While others wait for the westbound bus at the park's entrance, you soar eastward over granite peaks and vast glaciers, perhaps catching a glimpse of a herd of caribou. Thirty breathtaking minutes later, you land at our wilderness outpost surrounded by prime habitat for moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and grizzlies.



Five days/ four nights

Day 01:  Take a scheduled coach from Anchorage to Denali National Park. After checking into your Denali Denali Park entrance area hotel, you will be met for transfer to begin an exciting river rafting tour. Choose either from a 2-hour whitewater trip, or a scenic float tour. This evening is free to explore the area. Courtesy transfer are available to visitor the Denali National Park Visitor Access center. Overnight Denali.

Day 02An early morning departure into Denali on the Tundra Wildlife Tour. This is your opportunity to travel into the national park to view wildlife and learn about the park's natural history. Later this afternoon return to the park entrance where you will be met for transfer to nearby Healy. From Healy, you will fly via an authentic Alaskan bush plane into Alaska's true wilderness to Denali Wilderness Lodge. Here begins your adventure into the real, rugged, and remote Alaska. You will be greeted by an enthusiastic and professional staff. After settling in to your private room or cabin, relax and enjoy a gourmet dinner and this evenings naturalist program. Overnight at Denali Wilderness Lodge.

Day 03 - 04:  Two full days to enjoy nature. Step into the wilderness on your own or with the assurance of experienced naturalists who might point out the miniature sub arctic azaleas, bear droppings, or plump wild blueberries. Stroll downstream to a massive beaver dam or climb Mount Anderson. Horseback Ride Hop on one of our well-trained horses and let the wrangler wake you up with an early morning ride to the ridge top. Or mount up for an all-day ride into the tundra-topped foothills of the Alaska Range. Flora and Fauna Open your eyes and ears. Celebrate the midnight sun. Nighttime in the land of 24-hour daylight inspires impromptu songs around the campfire, a midnight game of horseshoes, an after-dinner walk, and evening wildlife films or naturalist programs in the homespun theater. September guests may even get to witness the Northern Lights. Overnights at Denali Wilderness Lodge.

Day 05:  Depart today the lodge by bush plane to Healy and connect with the Alaska Railroad to Fairbanks. Tour concludes on arrival in Fairbanks.

Transportation from Anchorage to Denali by coach, and Denali to Fairbanks aboard the Alaska Railroad. Round trip flights from Denali Wilderness Lodge. Four nights accommodations, including one night at the park entrance (hotel) and three nights at Denali Wilderness Lodge. Denali National Park Tundra Wildlife Tour. All meals, guide services at Denali Wilderness Lodge.
