This classic 14-night self-drive route, is perfect for both first time and returning visitors to Alaska.  The tour features most major highlights in Alaska and Canada's Yukon including Anchorage, wildlife viewing in Denali, Alaska's Golden Heart city of Fairbanks, historic Dawson City's Klondike, the gold rush trail from Skagway, the northern Inside Passage community of Haines and Kluane National Park - a world heritage site. Fifteen days/Fourteen nights
 
Day 01:  Arrive in Anchorage today and pick up your rental vehicle at the Airport.  You will overnight in the city's central downtown area.
 
Day 02:  Anchorage to Denali; Drive the Parks Highway through Palmer and the Matanuska Valley. Overnight Denali.
 
Day 03Denali National Park; Enjoy an early morning guided wildlife tour. Afternoon free for optional river rafting or hiking. Overnight Denali

Day 04Denali to Fairbanks; driving route through the historic railroad town of Nenana. Plenty of time for optional Fairbanks tours and in the afternoon.  Overnight Fairbanks.

Day 05: Fairbanks to Tok; Travel south on the Alaska Highway and enjoy great scenic views of Alaska Range. Overnight Tok.

Day 06: Tok to Dawson City; Travel the Top of the World Highway to Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. Overnight Dawson City.

Day 07Dawson City; spend the day exploring the exciting Klondike. Yukon River boat trips, theatre, gambling casino all await you. Overnight Dawson City.

Day 08Dawson to Whitehorse; Drive through the central Yukon interior and follow the Yukon River to Yukon's capital. Overnight Whitehorse.

Day 09Whitehorse to Skagway; Great vistas of mountains and deep lakes as you travel the Klondike Highway to histrionic Skagway. Overnight Skagway.

Day 10Skagway to Haines, via Alaska Ferry. Some free time today to explore Skagway and surroundings.  Lot's of optional activities in Skagway to choose from in this lively port town.  Afternoon travel by the Alaska Ferry. Overnight Haines.

Day 11:  Haines to Beaver Creek via Kluane National Park; travel the Haines Highway to  to Canada's Kluane National Park region, and onto the Alaska Highway. Overnight Beaver Creek.

Day 12Beaver Creek to Glennallen; The route brings you along the boundary lines of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park, which along with Canada's Kluane National Park creates a UNESCO World Heritage Park. Overnight Glennallen/Cooper Center area.

Day 13Glennallen to Anchorage; This drive is Alaska at its best. Scenic view at the Matanuska Glacier and the fertile farming country around Palmer are highlights. Overnight Anchorage.

Day 14Anchorage; Take some time to tour the Seward Highway to the ski resort village of Girdwood, Portage Glacier, or for optional tours from Anchorage including day cruises on Prince William Sound or to Seward. Overnight Anchorage.

Day 15Anchorage; return car rental station. Conclusion of tour services.

All taxes.  NOTE:  This tour can also operate round trip from Whitehorse, Yukon.  Canadian residents cannot rent a U.S. registered car and drive into Canada from Alaska.
