The Denali Backcountry Safari is a complete all-inclusive experience of Denali. This 4-day, 3-night program includes an overnight in Kantishna, 95 miles inside the borders of Denali National Park, and two nights at the Park entrance. All meals, three nights lodging, Denali Wildlife Drive, naturalist programs and guided activities are included in this complete package trip. The leisurely pace of this exclusive trip is designed to provide an in-depth Park experience that features Wonder Lake, Kantishna, and a narrated drive in our brand new private bus along the entire restricted Denali Park Road.

Four Days/Three Nights 

Day 1 - Arrive at Denali Cabins on your own after 1:00 (transportation to Denali available via the Alaska Railroad, scheduled coach or by car).  Check in and enjoy the individual cedar cabins, outdoor hot tubs, courtesy shuttle, TV, phone and private bath. Meet at 5:00 pm for a welcome reception and dinner, followed by a short evening program.  Overnight Denali Cabins.

Day 2 - Today start with an early morning Denali Wildlife Drive all the way to the very end of the Denali Park Road. This 6-hour drive on our private bus is your best opportunity to see Denali’s famed wildlife, including grizzly bears, moose, sheep and caribou. Arrive at Denali Backcountry Lodge in Kantishna for lunch. At the lodge enjoy an afternoon of activities, appetizers, dinner, a naturalist program, and an Alpenglow Shuttle to Wonder Lake. Stay overnight at this exclusive lodge deep within Denali National Park.

Day 3 - Breakfast in the main lodge, then a full day experiencing Denali including guided hikes and activities in the Kantishna region of Denali National Park. After lunch at the lodge, take an afternoon wildlife drive back to the Park entrance. You will marvel at the new face of the park as you view it traveling from west to east. Arrive at Denali Cabins in time to freshen up, enjoy dinner, and relax in the gazebo for a fireside chat with your new friends.

Day 4 - This morning enjoy an extended continental breakfast until 9:00 a.m. and we roll out the lunch cart so you can pack a box lunch. The morning is on your own to enjoy your choice of activities at the park entrance (not included in the program) or transfer to your next Alaska adventure. A late checkout at noon is arranged to make your day more flexible.
