its' humble beginnings as a construction camp for
the historic Alaska Railroad,
Anchorage
has grown to be one of the world's most spectacular
cities. Nestled below the Chugach Mountain Range and
surrounded by
Cook Inlet, Anchorage
offers a picturesque setting and unique position as
gateway to many Alaskan adventures. This
tour offers ample time to see Anchorage
and its wild surroundings, as well as a chance to
experience Denali
National Park, both of which are highlights of any Alaskan
vacation.

Six Days / Five
Nights
Day
1: Arrive Anchorage; a
courtesy hotel transfer is available from the
Anchorage Airport to your hotel. Overnight
Anchorage.
Day
2: Anchorage Sightseeing; experience
Alaska's largest
city with a 1-hour city tour which will provide you with a
glimpse of life in Alaska as your driver narrates
the unique history of the downtown area, Earthquake
Park and Lake Hood seaplane base. This evening you might consider a
flightseeing tour and dinner at one of Anchorage's fine
restaurants or brew pubs. Overnight Anchorage.
Day
3: All
Aboard! Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park; Today
you will depart Anchorage aboard
the classic Alaska
Railroad for travel to Denali National Park
(8:15 am departure). The Alaska Railroad
heads north through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley
stopping in both Wasilla and Talkeetna. Stroll
through the train and dine at your leisure. Capture
the scenery through the large picture windows and
shop onboard for your souvenirs. Scheduled arrival
in Denali is 3:45 PM. The remainder today is free to
enjoy many Denali area
optional tours such as flightseeing or river
rafting (not included). Overnight Denali National
Park entrance area hotel.
Day
4:
Denali National Park Tour; This
morning you will depart on a wilderness search into
Denali National Park. Your naturalist trained driver
guide explains the
wildlife and natural history of the park. This wilderness journey takes
you to the Denali National Park's prime wildlife
viewing areas, as well as vista points to view Mt.
McKinley. Your tour returns through the park this
afternoon. The remainder of the day is at your
leisure. Overnight Denali National Park entrance
area hotel.
Day
5: Denali
to Anchorage; This
morning you return to Anchorage by scheduled bus. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day
6: Departure; Your tour concludes today
upon hotel check-out. If have time, we suggest
spending an extra day in the area to enjoy one-day
tours available from Anchorage (not included).
Suggested optional excursions include a day cruise
into Prince William Sound or Kenai Fjords National
Park, or perhaps a day of salmon fishing, bear
viewing, or exploring Alaska's Arctic.

Three
nights hotel accommodations in Anchorage and two
nights hotel accommodations in Denali. Round trip
transportation between Anchorage and Denali National
Park (Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Denali and
scheduled bus service from Denali to Anchorage). Anchorage Trolley
