Whether
you’re
planning
a
reunion,
a
wedding,
or just
this
year’s
vacation,
Alaska
has
something
to
offer.
With the
amazing
scenery
and
wildlife,
visitors
of all
ages
can find
fun and
interesting
activities.
Some of
our
favorite
destinations
include:
Seward
-
Seward
is the
classic
Alaskan
port; small,
friendly,
and
bustling
with
activity.
It is
the
gateway
to one
of the
most famous
marine
parks in
America;
Kenai
Fjords
National
Park.
Seward
is also
home to
the
Alaska
Sea Life
Center,
a
research
and
rehabilitation
facility
that
focuses
on
marine
mammals,
seabirds,
and fish
species
of the
Northern
Pacific.
The
center
hosts a
number
of fish
and
other
marine
wildlife
tanks,
plus
some
special
‘touch’
tanks
where
visitors
can
actually
feel a
live
star
fish or
anemone.
The
Alaska
Sea Life
Center
is a
great
place
for
guests
of all
ages.
Other
attractions
in
Seward
include
Exit
Glacier,
where
there is
easy
walking
to
moderate
hiking
on interpretive
trails,
and
Iditarod
Sled Dog
Tours,
where
visitors
can
learn
about
dog
mushing
and
ride on
a
wheeled
sled
pulled
by dogs.
Denali
National
Park
- Of
course,
no visit
to
Alaska
is
complete
without
a visit
to
Alaska’s
most
famous
attraction
– Mt.
McKinley.
Though
most
services
are
located
at
the park
entrance, there
are
plenty
of
activities
that
take
visitors
within
the park.
These
options
include
bus
tours or flightseeing
tours by
bush
plane.
Activities
available
at the
park
entrance
include
river
rafting
(scenic
float or
white
water)
and
horseback
riding.
Fairbanks
-
Recognized
as the
gateway
to
Alaska’s
Arctic,
Fairbanks
has a
long and
colorful
history
dating
back to
the
gold
rush.
There
are
opportunities
to learn
more
about
the gold
rush,
including
the
opportunity
for
visitors
to pan
for
their
own
gold.
Another
famous
attraction
is the
Riverboat
Discovery
Cruise;
a
three-hour
scenic
and
culture
tour
along
the
Chena
and
Tanana
Rivers.
Fairbanks
is also
a great
place to
meet
some of
the
locals,
including
dog
mushers.
